Born Birth Story Sliding Scale

The systems of oppression in our country limit access to optimal care for marginalized pregnant people resulting in higher death rates (for the birthing person and baby) and unnecessary traumatic experiences. These experiences shape the way we perceive our birth and are powerful enough to set the tone for navigating life at home with a newborn. For many, fully processing the experience and having the ability work with someone they feel safe with is an essential form of self-care.

Sliding scale sessions are offered on an occasional basis and are dependent upon my availability, capacity, and my family's financial need at the time. Sessions are accepted on first come, first served basis. My heart is open to sliding scale sessions for non-marginalized folks with a genuine financial need. When more than one person is seeking a sliding scale rate for the same time period priority is given to Black, Indigenous, POC, independent parents, LGBTQIA+, differently-abled, and others who identify as marginalized.
