Availability & Booking
Most people inquire shortly after they find out they’re expecting and book in the beginning of their second trimester. I always say book as soon as you know I’m the one for you that way things won’t feel as rushed. Our connection is important and many of the people who choose me do so because it’s me they want— not one of my dedicated backups. For this reason, and also to make sure I’m able to show up for you in all the ways you need, I only accept 1-2 births a month.
STEP ONE: Book a free consultation.
Every interaction starts with an inquiry and is followed up with a phone or video call. This call is designed to make sure we’re great fit and typically lasts about an hour.
STEP TWO: Choose a package and let me know you’re ready.
While my availability is limited, it’s also important to take the time you need to feel good about everything. After you’ve decided on a package, let me know and I’ll start preparing the proposal.
STEP THREE: Book your birth.
Review the proposal, we’ll sign our agreement, and submit your payment. After this step is completed we will officially be booked!
What to expect from your investment
Life is busy and your time is valuable so I’ve made it easy for everything to be handled electronically. Payments, contracts, questionnaires, gallery delivery, downloading your images, our email history— access everything by logging into your client portal.
Your package also includes:
My lived experience, passion, knowledge, artistry, and expertise accompanies me to every single birth. I’m also packing professional-grade, full-frame cameras and lenses along with various backup equipment.
An in depth video consult where we talk in depth about your birth.
On-call time 24/7 for 5-weeks surrounding your guess date— 3 weeks before your guess date and 2 weeks after.
Time spent with you in active labor and approximately 2 hours after birth.
A few sneak preview images are delivered within 24-48 hours after I leave your birth. The rest of your package is delivered in an online gallery within 12 weeks.
A quick note on turnaround time: the amount of time it takes me to process your session varies because of life, because I edit for consistency, and because I deliver it all in color and black/white. It’s important to me that your images look their absolute best and for that to happen editing cannot be rushed or forced.
Packages, Prices & Payment Plans
Full packages and pricing are not available online, and are only shared after we’ve talked and it’s agreed that we are a great fit. I’ve seen too many people choose the wrong photographer because their main consideration is price, and this just isn’t how ones birth team should be determined.
With that said, I get it’s helpful to know more so you can plan accordingly. Birth story sessions begin at $1800, with most families spending between $2300 to $2800. Flexible payment plans are also available to help with accessibility.
